AstroTurf Boycott isn't working

Color of Change's phony attacks on Glenn Beck aren't working. Arguing that no one could look at Obama's 20 plus year association with so called Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his recent denouncement of the Boston police in the wake of Prof. Gates arrest, his wife Michelle's statements during the campaign about her pride or lack thereof in this country and the racial attacks against Bill and Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Democrat primary by his supporters and not think that Obama uses race to political advantage the way that racists like George Wallace and Lester Maddox did is what is remarkable. On the other hand there is near total silence when people on the left charge others with racism or bigotry.

More likely however Color of Change's boycott is just a pretext for shutting down one of the most vibrant and passionate resources that the American people can rely on in keeping a check on government -- Glenn Beck. But so far even with lots of fanfare and no doubt DNC/WhiteHouse sponsored support, like Air America another failed media effort this boycott is destined to fail.

Beck's show is popular and is contributing to record breaking ratings for Fox News and notably even though Color of Change claims to have more than 600,000 members, they've gotten fewer than 10% to sign on to their petition.

But even 60,000 signers is too many -- we're countering that with a petition drive of our own to be sent directly to executives at Fox to let them know just how valuable Glenn's show is. Keep checking back here and we'll have the petition set up!

If you've watched Glenn Beck on Fox or listened to his radio show you know 2 things: One he speaks his mind and two he talks about the issues that you and I are most interested in. Beck focuses on topics that only a few in radio and no one in TV does today, is there any wonder that his show is now one of the biggest draws on Fox Cable?

He's quite effective at tackling complex issues like health care, the bank bailouts etc and revealing what liberty interests and core principles are involved. The left knows this and they want to stop this voice through any means possible. We can't let that happen.

Free Speech Under Siege

Why is it that the guys on the left pretend they are for free speech and yet they take every opportunity they can to stop the voices that they disagree with from speaking? Now they've announced that they're putting Glenn Beck's Fox News TV show in their crosshairs.

ColorofChange.org -- the group once run by self-professed communist Van Jones, now a senior White House staffer, a.k.a. the "Green Czar"-- is spearheading an effort to persuade advertisers to drop their sponsorship of Glenn Beck's show. That is, lefties want to muscle Fox into canceling Beck's show on Fox. There is no evidence that Fox is ever going to cave in to such pressure, of course, but that won't stop ColorofChange, aided by the MSM, from trying.

It is axiomatic that under the First Amendment assessments of the political content of talk radio or TV for the purpose of deciding whether those programs should continue or not is a violation of free speech. Even though this boycott doesn't come directly from the White House, it is perilously close.

There are millions of us who watch Glenn Beck's show regularly. And so I have created this website as a place for those of us who support him to speak out.
